In the second and final Test match of the series against Pakistan, Bangladesh has reached a strong position with a first-innings lead. In response to the host team’s 278 runs, Pakistan wrapped up their first innings at 232 runs today. Babar Azam scored 68 runs and Sajid Khan scored 38 runs.
From Bangladesh, Nahid Rana and Taijul Islam took three wickets each, while Taskin Ahmed and Mehidy Hasan Miraz claimed two wickets each.
Securing a 46-run lead from the first innings, Bangladesh started their second innings and scored 110 runs for the loss of three wickets by the end of the second day’s play. The team’s overall lead now stands at 156 runs. Mahmudul Hasan Joy scored 52 runs and Mominul Haque made 30 runs. Pakistan’s Khurram Shahzad picked up two wickets.
