Hollywood star Robert Pattinson has firmly shut down long-standing rumors that he skipped out on gym training for his titular role in The Batman. Speaking with GQ magazine, the British actor clarified that the widespread perception of him slacking off stemmed entirely from a sarcastic joke he made during a 2020 promotional interview. “I worked out every f***ing day,” Pattinson stated, explaining that he was simply trying to “sound cool” at the time by claiming exercise was uncool. He revealed that his actual physical regime was grueling, often consisting of twice-a-day training sessions that began as early as three o’clock in the morning.
As the 40-year-old actor prepares to reprise his role as Bruce Wayne in Matt Reeves’ highly anticipated sequel, The Batman: Part II, he has already taken proactive steps by setting up a dedicated home gym at his Beverly Hills residence. While a formal filming schedule has yet to reach him, Pattinson noted that his stunt coordinator recently warned him to brace for a demanding “11 weeks of nights”. Production for the star-studded sequel has recently commenced, featuring returning cast members alongside a newly lined-up ensemble that includes Sebastian Stan and Scarlett Johansson. The Batman: Part II is currently slated for a theatrical release on October 1, 2027.
