Over the past three years, Air India has terminated the employment of more than one thousand employees for ethical reasons. These include allegations of misusing post-retirement travel benefits provided to employees. The company’s CEO, Campbell Wilson, disclosed this information. He mentioned that hundreds of employees are terminated annually by the airline for failing to follow rules and regulations.
Wilson stated that even when employees are out of the public eye, they must adhere to ethics. During a meeting with employees last Friday, Wilson mentioned these facts. Wilson said, “In the last three years, we have cut more than a thousand jobs for acts contrary to ethics, such as secretly smuggling goods on aircraft and allowing extra baggage without charging fees.”
