The sales of electric vehicles (EVs) in India increased by 75% this past April. While 23,506 EVs were sold in the Indian market last month, the number of electric vehicles sold in April of the previous year was 13,421. This information has come to light through data from the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA).
According to FADA data
Tata Motors sold 8,543 electric vehicles this past April. In April of the previous year, this number was 4,822.
Mahindra & Mahindra, in second place, sold 5,413 electric vehicles last April. JSW MG Motor India, in third place, sold 5,006 EVs.
Additionally, 1,48,740 electric two-wheelers were sold in the Indian market last month. In April of the previous year, this number was 92,538.
Accordingly, the sales rate of electric two-wheelers has increased by 60.73%.
