The star-studded Mumbai Indians continue to face a difficult run in this IPL. After a series of poor performances, the Hardik Pandya-led side faced Sunrisers Hyderabad on Wednesday. Playing at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai Indians batted first. Openers Will Jacks and Ryan Rickelton gave the team an explosive start. The duo put on 93 runs in just 7.1 overs before Jacks was dismissed for 46. Rickelton went on to play a sensational innings of 123 runs off just 55 balls. Contributions from Pandya (31) and Naman Dhir (22) helped Mumbai reach a massive total of 243 runs. Chasing this huge target, Sunrisers Hyderabad responded with equal aggression. Openers Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head built a solid foundation, scoring 129 runs in only 8.4 overs. Abhishek scored 45 and Head scored 76. Towards the end, Heinrich Klaasen’s quick-fire 65 off 30 balls led Hyderabad to victory in 18.4 overs.
