Abhishek Sharma and Axar Patel, both part of India’s T20 World Cup squad, have been named in the latest list issued by the National Anti-Doping Agency. The list covers 348 athletes who are now required to undergo mandatory dope testing. NADA had earlier released a version of the list that featured Shreyas Iyer and Smriti Mandhana. In the updated pool, Abhishek and Axar have replaced them. Being included in NADA’s registered testing pool makes players liable for out-of-competition and in-competition testing as per anti-doping rules.
