Progress for Priti, Thapa, and Akshat continues in the Asian Boxing Championships held in Amman.
The performance of Indian boxers at the Asian Boxing Championships held in Amman, Jordan. The Tokyo Olympic bronze medalist, competing in the 75kg category, secured her place in the final by defeating South Korea’s Seong Suyeon with a dominant 5-0 scoreline. This victory ensured her a chance to compete for the Gold medal.
Competing in the 66kg category, Ankushita’s journey ended in the semi-finals after a hard-fought match against Uzbekistan’s Khamidova Navbakhor. She concluded her campaign with a Bronze medal. Also competing in the women’s category, Sahiba settled for a Bronze medal after losing her semi-final bout.
Other prominent Indian boxers like Shiva Thapa, Priti, and Akshat have also shown strong performances and are progressing through their respective rounds.
