Google Supercharges Snapseed with Version 4.1 Update, Bringing Massive RAW Format Support and In-Tool Undo/Redo to Android

Following its major design overhaul, Google is rolling out Snapseed version 4.1 for Android, introducing highly anticipated support for a vast array of RAW image formats. While the photo editor historically prioritized basic DNG files, the latest update expands compatibility to include standard camera formats like Sony’s ARW, Fujifilm’s RAF, Canon’s CR3, Nikon’s NEF, Olympus’s ORF, and Pentax’s PEF. In addition to refining overall image processing and resolving odd corner cases, Google has added convenient undo and redo buttons directly inside individual editing tools. This highly requested workflow enhancement allows photographers to reverse specific changes on the fly without having to back out to the main editing screen. The update is currently seeing a gradual release on the Google Play Store to monitor stability before expanding to all Android devices, with an iOS release promised to follow shortly.
