Amidst intense competition for the top spot in the Indian market with maximum monthly car sales, domestic company Tata Motors secured the second position this past April, overtaking Hyundai and Mahindra & Mahindra. Maruti Suzuki maintained its undisputed first place on the list.
According to data published on the government vehicle portal: In April, Hyundai sold 47,345 vehicles. Mahindra sold 54,897 vehicles. In contrast, Tata Motors sold 57,472 vehicles. The total number of vehicles sold by market leader Maruti was 1,58,223.
In the electric vehicle (EV) segment, Tata Motors remains at the top with 8,507 units sold. Following them, Mahindra and MG Motor hold the second and third positions respectively. Notably, electric vehicle sales saw a slight decline in April compared to March.
