Ronaldo returns with a bang
After a month-long rest due to injury, Cristiano Ronaldo showcased the magic of his feet once again upon returning to the field. In a Saudi Pro League match held last night, league leaders Al Nassr defeated Al Najma by a margin of 5-2. The star player (Ronaldo) scored two goals in the second half. Despite the match being largely one-sided, Al Najma took an early lead in the 44th minute with a goal by Razeh Al-Tulaia against the run of play.
Just before the halftime whistle, Al Nassr took the lead within a one-minute span thanks to goals from Al-Khaibari and Sadio Mane.
After the break, Al Najma briefly equalized with a goal by Cardozo. However, in the 56th minute, Ronaldo put his team ahead again via a penalty.
Ronaldo scored his second goal in the 73rd minute. In the final moments of the match, Sadio Mane extended the lead to 5-2. With these goals, the Portuguese superstar has completed 967 career goals. He is now just 33 goals away from reaching the historic milestone of 1,000 goals.
