A football selection camp has begun today under the aegis of the Sut Sports Club, located in Barahampur within the Nagaon district. Over two hundred players from various regions across the Northeast, as well as Assam, have participated in this selection camp yesterday.
Supported by the Barhampur Sports Association and the Sanjeevani Club, the camp aims to select talented players through the Barhampur Football Academy. Efforts will be made to monitor and improve the performance of these selected players.
Along with training, arrangements for accommodation and food have been made at a local school for the players coming from distant locations. The selection camp was formally inaugurated yesterday, with the General Secretary of the Barhampur Sports Association, Plavan Boruah, highlighting the facilities being provided to the players.
