Google is all set to launch its Pixel 10 series in India on August 21, which will include the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold. However, most buyers may find it difficult to choose between the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro, as the regular model is receiving notable upgrades this year. The Pixel 10 is expected to feature a new 5x telephoto lens—previously exclusive to Pro models—though with a smaller sensor compared to the one on the Pixel 10 Pro. Interestingly, the main sensor on the Pixel 10 might be downgraded to the smaller unit seen on the Pixel 9a, prioritising versatility over sensor size. Design-wise, the Pixel 10 could have matte aluminium sides, but the back finish remains uncertain, possibly matte or glossy. The Pro model will likely stick with a matte back and glossy polished aluminium sides. Both phones are expected to be powered by the Tensor G5 chip based on TSMC’s 3nm process, but the Pixel 10 Pro may offer up to 16GB RAM, while the Pixel 10 might come with 12GB.
