The District Level Youth Festival 2026 for Kohima District will be held on September 11, providing young people an opportunity to showcase their talent and creativity while encouraging greater youth participation and self-reliance. According to DIPR, the festival will feature Declamation, a solo competition on the theme “Youth, Skills and a Self Reliant Nagaland,” along with group competitions in Folk Song and Folk Dance. Schools, colleges, youth clubs and interested young people across Kohima District have been invited to participate, with eligibility limited to those aged between 15 and 29. The festival aims to identify and nurture promising young talent, with the best individuals and teams selected to represent Kohima at the State Level Youth Festival 2026, scheduled to be held on September 29 at IG Stadium. Interested participants have been asked to confirm their participation by September 7.
