In a significant recognition of its outstanding contribution to higher education, The Assam Royal Global University (RGU) has been conferred the prestigious “Most Eminent University of North East India” Award at the Education Eminence Awards 2026.
The award was presented by Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu at a ceremony held in Guwahati on Saturday in the presence of eminent academicians, educationists, policymakers, and distinguished guests from across the region.
Addressing the gathering, Pegu emphasised the importance of recognising excellence in education, stating that such awards serve as a source of inspiration and encouragement for educational institutions striving to achieve higher standards.
He highlighted that education today must go beyond the dissemination of information and focus on developing skills, competencies, and values that prepare students for the challenges of the future.
Expressing his delight at the recognition, Dr. A. K.
