Ahead of the festive season, Triumph Motorcycles, in collaboration with Bajaj Auto, has introduced a notable price reduction on its popular Speed 400 and Speed T4 models. This comes despite the GST on motorcycles above 350 cc rising to 40%, defying industry-wide expectations of price hikes. The updated prices now see the Speed 400 available at ₹2,33,754, down from ₹2,50,551, while the Speed T4 is priced at ₹1,92,539, reduced from ₹2,06,738. The price cuts, reaching up to ₹16,797, aim to enhance Triumph’s market presence and make these mid-size bikes more affordable for Indian riders.
The Speed T4 shares its engine with the Speed 400 but features a heavier crank and a milder tune, producing 30.6 bhp at 7,000 rpm and 36 Nm torque at 5,000 rpm. It offers a torquier, smoother ride with fewer gear changes, especially suited for city commuting, paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
By absorbing the GST increase rather than passing it to customers, Triumph and Bajaj highlight their commitment to affordability and customer trust this festive season.
