San Francisco-based startup Giga, founded by IIT Kharagpur alumni Varun Vummadi and Esha Manideep in 2023, has secured $61 million in Series A funding led by Redpoint Ventures, with participation from Y Combinator and Nexus Venture Partners. Giga develops voice-based AI agents for businesses, with Vummadi serving as CEO and Manideep as CTO.
In a video announcing the funding, the founders revealed their AI agents manage hundreds of thousands of daily conversations.
