Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) reported an 11% year-on-year sales increase in August 2025, with 34,236 units sold, including 29,302 domestic sales and 4,934 exports. This marks a rise from 30,879 units sold in August 2024. Varinder Wadhwa, Vice President of Sales-Service-Used Car Business, expressed optimism about maintaining a strong market presence and emphasized the importance of the upcoming festive season. He highlighted Toyota’s focus on innovation and value-added services to enhance customer experience and boost buying confidence.
From January to August 2025, Toyota sold 2,41,696 units, up 14% compared to 2,12,785 units in the same period last year, reflecting steady growth. In August, TKM reinforced its Make-In-India initiative by renewing its Wharfage Rate Agreement with Kamarajar Port Limited to support exports. Additionally, the company introduced a new Bluish Black exterior color and standardized six airbags across all Toyota Urban Cruiser variants. The launch of the Camry Hybrid Electric Vehicle – Sprint Edition, a sportier version of its luxury hybrid sedan, further showcased Toyota’s commitment to innovation and customer appeal.
