Anant Ambani, whole-time director of Reliance Industries, made his debut appearance at the company’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Friday, August 29, 2025, sharing updates on Reliance’s new energy ventures.
Anant, the youngest son of Mukesh Ambani, was appointed as a whole-time director for a five-year term beginning May 1, 2025. At his first AGM as Executive Director, he provided insights into the company’s ambitious renewable energy plans. He announced that Reliance’s battery gigafactory is set to commence operations in 2026, marking a significant step toward advancing the company’s presence in the clean energy sector.
Additionally, Anant revealed that Reliance is collaborating on the development of the world’s largest single-site solar project located in Kutch, Gujarat, further underscoring the company’s commitment to sustainable energy.
