Nagaland Governor Nand Kishore Yadav visited the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) Kohima on August 20, 2026, reviewing its infrastructure, research activities and emerging technology ventures. During the visit, the Governor toured the Academic Block and inspected the Cyber Forensic R&D Lab, where he was briefed on ongoing research and initiatives. He also launched two startups, Kora and Zodmo Technologies, highlighting the growing culture of entrepreneurship and innovation among Nagaland’s youth. Zodmo Technologies has developed a locally focused online marketplace that allows users to buy, sell, rent and discover goods and services within Nagaland. The Governor’s interaction with the startups underscored the importance of empowering young entrepreneurs to use technology for inclusive growth and building a supportive ecosystem for digital enterprises. He was also briefed on NIELIT Kohima’s programmes aimed at promoting digital skills, technology, innovation and capacity building. The visit highlighted the institute’s role in advancing digital literacy, nurturing technological talent and supporting Nagaland’s broader digital development.
