Under the leadership of Hardik Pandya, the difficult times for Mumbai Indians continue. The five-time champions are devastated by consecutive defeats in this IPL. Yesterday’s loss against Chennai Super Kings was the team’s seventh defeat this season. As a result of this loss, Mumbai’s chances of entering the playoffs are almost over.
Former Indian cricketer Manoj Tiwary does not agree with blaming captain Hardik alone for the team’s failure. According to him, the biggest problem is the lack of internal support within the team. Manoj says:”I think Mumbai’s IPL campaign this time is almost over. In difficult times, other teammates should support the captain. But in Hardik’s case, I don’t see that. He is not getting the level of support he should receive from his teammates. Hardik has regularly blamed himself for the team’s failure, but that has clearly highlighted the internal problems of the team.”
