A woman who had gone missing from her residence in Guwahati has been found safe in Shillong, Meghalaya, ending a tense three-day search operation. The woman had reportedly disappeared without a trace, prompting her family to file a missing persons report at a local Guwahati police station. Following the report, Assam police worked in coordination with Meghalaya authorities, tracking leads that eventually pointed toward her presence in the neighboring hill station.
While the specific circumstances leading to her departure remain under investigation, authorities confirmed that she was located in a healthy condition. The cross-border coordination between the Assam and Meghalaya police forces was instrumental in resolving the case quickly. Following her discovery, she was brought back to Guwahati and reunited with her family after the necessary legal formalities and health check-ups were completed.
