Manchester City and Chelsea have secured their places in the FA Cup semi-finals after convincing victories over Southampton and Leicester City respectively.
In the match held last night, Manchester City defeated Southampton 4-1 with the help of a hat-trick from Erling Haaland. In a one-sided affair, Haaland gave City the lead in the 39th minute. Before the break, Haaland provided an assist to help Manchester City advance further. Haaland completed his hat-trick in the 57th minute. In the very end, Manchester City defeated Southampton 7-0. This marks the eighth time City has reached the FA Cup semi-finals.
In the second match, Chelsea secured a victory over Third Division side Port Vale with a 7-0 margin. At the 50-minute mark, Chelsea were leading 3-0 with goals from Sterling, Pedro, and Azpilicueta. Sterling and Garnacho also scored.
In another match, Liverpool suffered a shocking defeat against a Second Division team with a 1-2 scoreline. Despite playing well, Liverpool faced a setback. Similarly, Arsenal was also defeated. Arsenal lost the match 0-3. Although Arsenal tried to equalize in the 65th minute, their efforts were unsuccessful.
In the 68th minute, a goal by Gakpo brought some hope, but Arsenal eventually conceded. In the 85th minute, Arsenal’s hopes were dashed as they conceded another goal. Consequently, Arsenal’s journey in the tournament came to an end.
